House-Shaped Beds Galore

[tps_header]Add some fun kiddish style to your child's room with a house bed! We've rounded up our favorite looks for house-shaped beds, reading nooks, headboards, bunk beds, and loft beds!

House-shaped beds have been all over the web in the last year.  Many of these fun house beds come from Europe (Scandinavian style!) but there are many DIY versions out there, too — either built from scratch or hacked from an inexpensive IKEA bed. We ourselves built our girls’ cottage style bed and playhouse from an IKEA bed! We’ve also shared free building plans for a playhouse frame reading nook or floor bed, a house frame bed, and a house headboard — so apparently we’ve been bitten by the house bug as well! Today we have some cute playhouse beds and reading nooks that we’ve found all around the web — with some cute ideas for styling and decorating around a house bed, or DIYing your own awesome house-shaped bed! I mean… your *kids” awesome house-shaped bed 😉

As with anything we share here on Remodelaholic — this is for inspiration and entertainment purposes only. Be smart, and be safe. Especially in a child’s room, it’s important to maintain all safety precautions to keep everyone safe! And that’s the beauty of DIYing — build it how you like, for what your child needs! House-Shaped Beds or Reading Nooks

A floor bed can be a great transition for a young toddler to acclimate to a “real” bed, or it makes a great reading nook for kids, from early readers clear up to bigger kids who love to hole up in their own space with a good book. (Or hey, even for mom who just needs a moment to herself, maybe! or maybe we should just all live in house shaped nooks to stay sane while we remodel? 😉
