Hot Pink Holiday! Decorating with Non-traditional Holiday Colors
Hi Everyone! I’m Sarah from Just The Bee’s Knees back with another inspiring mood board for you this month! Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons to decorate for. I love warm, cozy interiors as you probably noticed with my last two boards, Fall Nesting and Warm Winter Whites. Both boards were very neutral and inviting, so for December, I’m switching it up and talking about decorating for the Holidays (my absolute favorite time of year!) using non-traditional colors. No red and green here today folks. Were talking Hot Pink!
Decorating with Non-Traditional Holiday Colors
Maybe its because I live in a house full of boys and could never get away with this much pink, but I’m just loving this fuchsia hue for the holidays! Take a look at some awesome spaces that added just a touch of this bold color to their winter decor, and learn how you can too!
By adding a few fuchsia throw pillows, blankets and ornaments to the mantle, this otherwise neutral space is completely transformed!
It’s amazing how much impact just a solid band of bold ribbon can make! I love how its used with the greenery here.
Not crazy about pink? How about blue?! Blue has been a really popular color over the last few years.
Centsational Girl added some blue ornaments, ribbon and gift wrap to compliment her existing color scheme.
Navy and white really stand out and give this space a nautical feel.
How about purple?!
As you can see from all the images above, you don’t have to go to the store and buy all brand new holiday decorations to incorporate some non-tarditional colors into your scheme. Gift wrap some boxes with colorful ribbon and wrapping paper. A few strategically placed ornaments really make a statement! And don’t forget to shop your house! Those purple toss pillows that are in your bedroom can be moved into your family room to compliment your holiday decor.
