The beautiful flooring in the photo above that was shared on the Remodelaholic Instagram page made me want to look at more fabulous flooring ideas. How many of you would dare to stencil your floor? I am not sure I am brave enough but after seeing this High Style, Low Cot Painted and Stenciled Floor by Tasha at Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body I sure want to! My grandpa put Waterproof Wood-Look Flooring in the bathrooms of his new home about 10 years ago now, and they still look absolutely perfect! Every time my husband and I discuss getting new flooring for the bathroom, it’s my go-to. Then I wouldn’t worry so much about the kids splashing water onto the floor. Cassity’s sister recently re-did her floors with the waterproof wood-look flooring and it turned out gorgeous! I love the before and after’s and to see how much style and character the wood adds! Are you intimidated about tiling? My sister was! She and her husband had zero experience in DIY projects and remodeling when they decided to finish their basement themselves. Her husband is a computer programmer, and he decided it would be nice to work with his hands for a change. She was most worried about tiling. But with tutorials, it was as smooth as butter. Recently we were sent the photo of this beautiful little house bed from Laura. She said,
“The time had come to move my two-year old out of her crib and into a big girl bed. Of course, I didn’t want just any old bed. I wanted her to have one of those trendy house beds you see all over Pinterest and Instagram. I decided to do it myself! Having little woodworking experience, I knew it would be a challenge. But I figured the materials cost me less than $100 and if it totally fails, we would just buy a regular twin bed, burn the lumber, and move on.”
